Responsibilities
  • Conducting training sessions in various aspects of military operations, including weapons handling, tactical maneuvers, first aid, and physical fitness.
  • Providing instruction on military doctrine, discipline, and ethics to instill a strong sense of duty, loyalty, and professionalism in recruits.
  • Evaluating trainees' progress and performance, identifying areas for improvement, and providing constructive feedback and remedial training as necessary.
  • Demonstrating proper techniques and procedures through practical demonstrations and simulations, ensuring trainees develop practical skills and confidence.
  • Maintaining accurate training records and reports to track individual and unit progress and compliance with training standards.
  • Collaborating with fellow instructors and senior officers to develop and update training curriculum, incorporating best practices and lessons learned from operational experiences.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, camaraderie, and mutual respect among trainees.
Qualifications
  • Previous military experience with the South African Army or another recognized armed forces branch.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in military tactics, weapons systems, and combat skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and motivate diverse groups of individuals.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to lead by example, inspire confidence, and command respect.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to endure the rigors of military training and participate in physical activities alongside trainees.
  • Commitment to upholding the values and standards of the South African Army, including integrity, loyalty, and service to the nation.
  • Willingness to undergo further training and professional development as required.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with prior experience as military instructors or trainers.
