Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with research teams to conduct fieldwork, data collection, and analysis related to biodiversity conservation projects.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of conservation strategies, policies, and initiatives.
  • Contribute to research publications, reports, and presentations on biodiversity topics.
  • Support education and outreach programs aimed at raising awareness and promoting conservation efforts within local communities.
  • Engage in administrative tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of SANBI programs and projects.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant academic program (e.g., biology, environmental science, conservation biology, ecology).
  • Passion for biodiversity conservation and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques, as well as experience with relevant software tools.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in diverse settings and challenging field conditions.
  • South African citizenship or permanent residency required.
