  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on various aspects of sugarcane farming, agricultural policies, market trends, and sustainability initiatives. Analyze data and present findings to support informed decision-making.
  • Support Programs: Assist in the implementation of SA Canegrowers' programs and initiatives aimed at promoting best practices in sugarcane farming, enhancing farmer livelihoods, and fostering community development.
  • Communication and Outreach: Support communication efforts by drafting content for newsletters, social media platforms, and website updates. Assist in organizing workshops, events, and outreach activities to engage with sugarcane farmers and stakeholders.
  • Administrative Tasks: Provide administrative support to the SA Canegrowers team, including organizing meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining records.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in agriculture, agronomy, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in agriculture, sustainable farming practices, and rural development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to conduct online research.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations within South Africa, if required.
