MQA is offering an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Intern to join our team. This internship program is designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of HR functions within the mining and minerals sector. The selected intern will work closely with our HR team and gain valuable insights into recruitment, training and development, employee relations, and HR administration.

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing employment contracts, induction programs, and employee orientation.
  • Assist in the coordination and facilitation of training and development initiatives, including workshops, seminars, and online training programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks, such as preparing HR documents, maintaining personnel files, and processing HR-related paperwork.
  • Support employee relations activities, including handling inquiries, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing HR processes and practices within the organization.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources within the mining and minerals sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior HR internship or related work experience will be an advantage.
